Extension of Course Registration & Fees Payment Deadline for 2019/2020 Academic Session

Following the appeal made by the Students’ Union Executive for extension of the date for students’ fees payment and course registration, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Victor F. Peretomode has magnanimously approved the extension of the date.

DELSU course registration and fees payment will now end on Friday, 13th December, 2019.

Consequently, students (Fresh & stale) are therefore advised to take advantage of this extension to pay their fees and register their courses.

JUPEB Admission List for 2019/2020 Academic Session

The first (1st) batch list of candidates offered admission into the Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) programme for the 2019/2020 academic session is out.

This is to inform all the candidates that applied for admission into the Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) programme during the 2019/2020 academic session and also participated in the screening exercise that they can now check their admission status.

DELSU JUPEB 1st batch admission list has been successfully uploaded on the university website.

How to Check DELSU JUPEB Admission List.

  1. Go to DELSU JUPEB admission status checking portal at https://delsu.edu.ng/printjupebadmin.aspx.
  2. Supply your registration number in the required column.
  3. Finally, click on ‘Print’ to access your JUPEB admission status.

Acceptance Fee Amount & Payment Procedure for 2019/2020 Academic Session

This is to inform all the candidates offered provisional admission into Delta State University (DELSU) various undergraduate programmes for the 2019/2020 academic session that the authorities of the institution have released the amount they are required to pay as acceptance fee and payment procedure.

All those admitted through Delsu’s Merit List are required to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of N30,000 for Indigene and N40,000 for Non-indigene.

Failure to pay the acceptance fee on or before 18th of October, 2019, the admission will be deemed to have lapsed. Deferment of Admission is not entertained.

You’re all expected to come along with some items/documents for the screening exercise that starts IMMEDIATELY and would last for TWO WEEKS. Anyone who fails to show up for the screening exercise within the stipulated period, would be deemed to have rejected the offer. The documents to come with will accompany this timely broadcast. Once again, accept my congratulations.

Lastly, applicants that were not admitted in the Merit List should keep the faith. More batches will soon be released.

New Resumption Date for 1st Semester 2019/2020 Academic Session

This is to inform staff, students, the University community and the general public that the management of the Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, has postponed the resumption date for the commencement of 2019/2020 academic session.

The new resumption date is Sunday, 29th September, 2019 for students to return to campus while academic activities would commence on Monday, 30th September, 2019.

As a result, staff particularly academics, fresh and stale students are requested to take note of the new date as normal academic activities for the First semester of the session are expected to commence immediately.

Postgraduate Qualifying / Entrance Examination Date, How to Print Seat Number 2019/2020

This is to inform all the candidates that applied for admission into the Delta State University (DELSU) Postgraduate Programmes for the 2019/2020 academic session that the management has announced the date for the qualifying examination and also activated the portal where they can print their examination seat number.

DELSU Postgraduate qualifying examination holds on 21st September, 2019.

How to Print Delta State University (DELSU) Post UTME Screening Schedule for 2019/2020 Academic Session

This is to inform all the UTME candidates that applied for the Delta State University (DELSU) 2019/2020 screening exercise that their slips are now ready.

Applicants can now go online to check/print their exam slip, which shows their exam date, venue and seat number.

  • Enter your UTME Registration Number in the required column.

Delta State University (DELSU) Short-Term Certified Entrepreneurship Programme Admission Form 2019/2020

This is to inform the University community and the general public that the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Victor F. Peretomode has graciously approved short-term Certified Entrepreneurship programmes that will run from September 2019 – February 2020.

Interested persons are hereby requested to apply for the short-term certified trainings in the different areas of skill listed below:

 Mode of Application: Applicants are to obtain application form with the sum of N2,500.00 payable to DELSU Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies Fidelity Bank AC No. 4011320147. The photocopy of the deposit teller should be attached to a letter of application addressed to the Director CES, Delta State University, Abraka.

Applicant’s contact address, phone number as well as intended skill AREAS of applicant should be enclosed.

Application Closes on Friday, August 16, 2019. For skill areas that will run within two and three months, new applications will be welcomed before the end of any of the training sessions. This is to allow new trainees to commence their training in another batch.

Training commences on Monday, September 2, 2019

Note:

  • Morning and Evening Training sessions shall be engaged.
  • A DELSU Entrepreneurship skill Certificate will be awarded at the end of the training programme by February 2020.

Delta State University (DELSU) Notice to 2019/2020 Academic Session Post-UTME Candidates

This is to inform the general public, particularly UTME candidates who chose Delta State University; Abraka as first choice that DELSU will not admit students into the underlisted courses (programmes) for the 2019/2020 academic session.

  1. Microbiology
  2. Nursery and Primary Education (NPE)
  3. Technical Education
  4. Educational Administration

In the light of the above, candidates who intend to apply for the aforementioned programmes in the DELSU PUTME for the 2019/2020 academic session are hereby requested to re-visit JAMB website to make change of course (programme) before the commencement of sale of PUTME forms.

Meanwhile, such candidates should ensure that the new course of choice MUST have the same JAMB subject combination they wrote in the 2019 UTME.
